I don’t know if anyone else is a Groupon subscriber, but they are doing an Earth Day special with great deals on some eco-friendly products and trips! If you are a subscriber, maybe they have some different offers for your area too. Even if you do not want to subscribe to Groupon, it might give you some good ideas for stuff around the house. For example, one of the deals is for www.eco-homestore.com. I had never heard of it, but I just looked it up and it is awesome! They even have biodegradable disposable plates. What a great alternative to the tree-killing, landfill-clogging paper and styrofoam plates for summer BBQs.
Here is the official Earth Day website:
It is a great resource for understanding the history of Earth Day, providing ideas for how you can become involved in an Earth Day activity or donate to a great cause! My pledge is to start a home garden, which was also my monthly challenge to myself for this blog. I have also been biking to work several days a week, and Tim and I bought into a CSA (community supported agriculture). We’re trying! What are your Earth Day plans? How are you getting your family, friends or community involved?
